Wedding FAQ

Q: What are your rates?

A: Rather than having the typical and standard “cookie cutter” rates as most corporate bands/orchestras do, we customize our rates to each individual event and can offer options for various budgets. Every event has different variables that must be considered. Please visit our contact page and fill out our form CLICK HERE to help us learn about your event! We then will contact you via phone to discuss your event. You deserve personal attention for the most important day of your lives!

Q: What are your options?

A: We typically provide soloists, a duo, trio, quartet, 5 piece, 6 piece, 7 piece, 8 piece, 9 piece, 10 piece, 11 piece, & a 12 piece band/orchestra. If you would like more than 12 pieces, please contact us directly to discuss. We also provide different formations of our group within different locations at the same event! After hearing about your event and what you are looking for, we will customize our options based on your needs.

Q: Can you provide ceremony music, cocktail hour music, dinner music, and dance music for a wedding?

A: Yes, absolutely we can provide music for ALL these facets of a wedding.

Q: Can you provide emceeing and/or act as the master of ceremonies?

A: Yes, we act as the master of ceremonies, making all necessary announcements as well as emceeing and facilitating all of your events including toasts.

Q: Can you provide day of coordination?

A: Absolutely, we are one of the only groups in the nation capable of taking care of full day of coordination as well as providing the entertainment. In fact, we’ve been hired by professional wedding coordinators to take care of the coordination and entertainment for their own personal weddings!

Q: Can you provide sound production for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, & dancing portion of a wedding?

A: Yes, we provide full sound production for all of these aspects of a wedding. This includes wireless microphones, as well as all necessary speakers for the space(s). We can even set up separate sound systems in multiple locations for the same wedding!

Q: Can we watch you perform at a wedding?

A: 100% of our focus at your wedding is on you and your guests. If other wedding bands/orchestras invite potential clients to your wedding, these wedding groups are concerned with self promotion rather than you and your wedding. YOU ARE ALWAYS OUR #1 PRIORITY!

It is highly unprofessional for another group to even ask you if it is okay to invite potential clients to attend your wedding. This places you in an awkward and uncomfortable position.

Lastly, if any band/orchestra invites you to a wedding, undoubtedly they will ask complete strangers to crash your wedding!

Rest assured, we will not allow any strangers to attend your wedding!

Q: Can we see you perform live?

A: Yes, you can see us perform live! Also, CLICK HERE to view our videos!

WE ARE AN AWARD WINNING WEDDING BAND/ORCHESTRA WITH THE EXPERTISE TO GUARANTEE YOUR WEDDING WILL BE A RAGING SUCCESS. THERE IS NO RISK INVOLVED WITH US.

DO NOT HIRE BANDS THAT PERFORMS AT BARS! WHY TAKE THIS RISK?

PLEASE BE AWARE BAR BANDS USE THE WORD “SHOWCASE” TO DESCRIBE THEIR LIVE PERFORMANCES, BUT THIS IS COMPLETE TRICKERY!!! DO NOT BE FOOLED! USING “SHOWCASE” IS AN ATTEMPT TO SOUND PROFESSIONAL, WHEN THESE GROUPS ARE SIMPLY PERFORMING AT BARS.

We appreciate you taking the time to view our Q & A page, and our advice is a thank you for this!

A: Our style is all about you, our couple! We are fully capable of performing a wide variety of music, and we utilize our skills to customize your wedding to what you and your guests will enjoy. Our specialty truly is versatility.

Q: Does your band/orchestra use backing tracks?

A: We NEVER use backing tracks or recordings for your special day! DON’T BE FOOLED INTO HIRING OTHER “BANDS” THAT USE BACKING TRACKS. MAKE SURE YOU ASK OTHER GROUPS IF THEY USE TRACKS!!! DON’T BE TRICKED INTO SPENDING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ONLY FOR YOU TO BE DISSAPPOINTED ON YOUR WEDDING DAY WHEN YOU LEARN YOU’VE HIRED MUSICIANS THAT ARE PERFORMING TO KAROAKE TRACKS!

We only use live music within our band/orchestra! Our music is pure, authentic, & real from our musicians. You deserve REAL music. A band that uses backing tracks is essentially a glorified DJ. If you go with us, you get the real thing.

Q: Why are you sometimes referred to as Matt Stedman Band, and sometimes referred as Ring Of Music?

A: Since our complete name is long, we are often referred to as Ring Of Music or ROM. Equally, we are referred to as Matt Stedman Band or MSB. Again, we are one organization of musicians, one in the same.

Q: Who is Matt Stedman, and what is his role?

A: I, Matt Stedman, am the owner of my organization and company. My role is to communicate with our wedding couples & corporate clients, our management team, as well as our musicians. I oversee the complete operation of our group.

Q: Why is there a management team and how is this advantageous to us?

A: Our management team communicates with you and our musicians, handling all the details and aspects of your wedding or corporate event. This separation of management vs. musicians allows for the smoothest and most efficient flow within our company to provide you with highest quality in service. In other words, there is ownership, management, and the musicians/performers that all work together to create greatness of epic proportions!

Q: What happens if one of your musicians falls ill or can’t make it on the day of our event?

A: This is the advantage of having our music company take care of your event-we leave you worry free. We have a large number of musicians in our organization and this is one of the reasons why. A group with a limited number of members would not be capable of this. We always have multiple musicians in our group on standby for the duration of your event, ready to go at a moments notice. This is real life, and things happen. We are prepared for anything and everything, as your event is of utmost importance to us!

Q: Do you provide multiple musicians for multiple events in the same day?

A: Yes, we absolutely provide musicians for multiple events in the same day! We are a music company, as this is what we specialize in! For instance, we may be contracted to have our 7 piece group perform for a wedding reception, and then another couple inquires about having a solo pianist for their cocktail hour at their wedding. We would then easily provide this client with one of our talented pianists. This is what our industry calls for and we have the necessary resources to take care of our numerous clients.

Q: Which of your musicians will be performing for our event?

A: Since our musicians are multi instrumentalists, we internally choose the musicians within our organization that will perform on each specific instrument for each event. As experts and award winning professionals in our field, this is our process. The musicians within our band/orchestra that will be performing for your wedding are on our website in our videos, pictures, and sound samples.
